Fortune's Game Was On...
Kathy Fortune, Rockwell City, emerged
from tied in third place after round one to take the IWGA
Senior
Women’s Amateur Title with a two day total of 154. Fortune’s
first day on the course ended with a 39-38, for a total 77. With pin
placements tucked in the corners of every green, Kathy fired a
very respectful 77 again.
Janis Owens, Creston, shot a 79 on
Day One at Copper Creek
and then followed it up again with another 79 for Day Two, to claim her
Super Senior Title. Owens had a 39-40 for both nines today
to bring home her first Super Senior trophy.
