Senior Woman Player of the Year Point System
Point Total is determined by:
ALL IWGA/IGA conducted
plus the best three point totals from
sanctioned point events
plus bonus points.
Points for 2010 will accumulate through the USGA Senior
Women's Amateur Championship (October 14).
Player must be an Iowa resident, Individual Member of
the IWGA or a member of an IWGA Member Club.
Points will not be awarded to amateur players who are
not Iowa residents and IWGA members. Positions will not
be elevated in order to award those points. For
example: 3rd place points will be awarded the 3rd place
finisher even if the 1st and 2nd place finishers are not
IWGA members.
Bonus points are awarded based on final finish. For
example, a player who is a quarter-finalist in the US
Women's Amateur will receive 450 points, not
75+150+225+300+450.
Tiebreaker (in order):
1.
Points earned in the IWGA Senior Amateur Championship
2. Highest point total earned in a Remaining Point
Event
3.
2nd highest point total earned in a Remaining Point
Event
4. 3rd highest point total
earned in a Remaining Point Event
The IWGA Four-Ball Championship is a FULL Point Event!
Points are awarded to each player based on team finish
and at 100% of the Sanctioned Point Event Totals. For
example, on the 1st place team, Player A receives 200
points and Player B receives 200 points.
The IWGA Board (R&C Committee)
reserves the right to award points for outstanding
achievements outside the points system.

For example, a player who is a quarter-finalist in the
US Amateur will receive 600 points, not 225+250+350+475+600.
